Esther — full name Yong Mei Lien — is one of EV Dance’s most versatile senior coaches, with deep technical training across Chinese Dance, Ballet, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Jazz, Salsa, and Tap. She’s also one of our coaches most beloved by inclusive-dance students.

About Esther
Esther fell in love with dance in high school, beginning with Chinese Dance (Fan dancing was her first love). She ventured into Ballet, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Jazz, Salsa, and Tap, building genuine cross-style versatility.
She has worked with celebrated local and international choreographers including Celeste Theunissen (Malaysia), John Mead (US/Singapore), Kalpana Raghuraman (Netherlands), Yvonne Ng (Canada), and Jimmy The Macspencer (France).
From 2014 to 2019, Esther served as Coach and friend of YStars — youth with Down Syndrome under YMCA Singapore — bringing the joy of dance to special-needs students. The experience continues to shape her teaching today.
