Melissa — stage name “Catlady” — is one of Singapore’s pioneer street-dance instructors and a senior coach at EV Dance. With 21 years of dancing and 12 years of coaching, she’s the coach we recommend to students who want both technical foundation and battle/freestyle confidence.
About Melissa
Melissa is well-versed across Hip Hop, Waacking, House, Locking, Popping, Ballet, and Contemporary. She has led teams to local and international dance competitions and battles, including All Babes Cineleisure Dance and Arena Singapore.
She has built her reputation on focus on foundations — many street dance instructors skip basic technique; Melissa doesn’t. Her students go into competitions with cleaner foundations and better musicality.
Going into her 12th coaching year, she continues to spread street dance knowledge to younger generations.
