Waacking is one of the most distinctive dance styles in the urban family — fast arm movements, theatrical posing, disco music, unapologetic drama. We teach it at EV Dance for kids 10+ because it builds skills few other styles do.

What kids learn
- Fast arm vocabulary (windmills, rolls, walks)
- Theatrical pose work and “landing” positions
- Musicality with disco/funk time signatures
- Stage presence and confident self-presentation
- Crossover skills that transfer to K-pop, voguing, and jazz funk
Why we teach waacking

Who waacking suits
Strong fit: – Kids drawn to theatrical, expressive movement – Kids who watch K-pop and gravitate to the sharper, posier members (LIA from ITZY, Karina from aespa) – Kids who love drama club or musical theatre – Cross-trainers — waacking pairs strongly with K-pop and hip-hop
