The Dance Journal is something we wish more dance studios did. We’ve yet to find another studio in Singapore that gives kids a real printed journal as part of class enrolment.

What’s in the journal

Each Dance Journal is around 40 pages, A5 size, printed on quality paper. Inside:

Why the journal matters

For kids: – It’s hers. Not the studio’s, not the school’s. A personal artefact of her year. – It builds the habit of reflecting on what she learns — a skill that transfers well beyond dance – It gives shy kids who don’t want to talk a way to express their experience – It documents her journey in a way phone photos can’t

For parents: – A clear window into what your daughter is actually working on each week – Easy way to ask “tell me about this page” instead of “did you have fun?” – Something to keep on the shelf — many parents have a row of Dance Journals on their bookshelf, one per year

How we make them

Designed in-house. Printed in Singapore. Distributed to every student on the first class of every new term. The cost is built into the term fee — you don’t pay extra.

Frequently asked

Can my child choose her journal cover design? The cover design rotates by term and theme — every child in a given term gets the same design (with their personal name). We don’t do custom covers (it would slow turnaround dramatically).

What if the journal gets damaged? We can usually print a replacement at cost (~S$10). Talk to us.

Can I see one before enrolling? Yes. Drop by our Waterloo Centre studio any opening hours and we’ll show you a sample.
